My time with dogs started properly in 2023 with my first pup after childhood, Mango, a red Cocker Spaniel. She has become the busiest part of both my and Claires life since then.

Her time started off rocky with the 10 week vet check up flagging a heart murmur which was later Diagnosed as PDA. Thankfully her surgery was a success and currently has the all clear and no ongoing checkups. While mango is our first dog (and house size is a problem at the moment) I’m sure we will be getting another in the future.

All three of us have really enjoyed working through the Puppy and bronze Good Citizen program and are looking forward to improving our skills once we can finally master ‘Stay’ in the hall… Mango is much more in her element out in the agility field where she gets to put her speed to good use. We are looking forward to continued community activities like the dog show.

Only having joined the LCDS I am new to the world of dog training and showing but am eager to learn and engage with the local community. I have recently started assisting with the Puppy classes and am looking forward to the opportunity to lead a class and build my experience.
