Growing up I always loved dogs and had Dalmatians as family pets, they were a great addition to our family and loved walks and cuddling on the sofa. 

After years of studying and traveling, my partner and I settled back in Fort William and decided to start looking for a dog of our own, after resisting for long enough. We brought Tala, a black and white border collie, home in 2021 and have never looked back. She has added so much to our lives and we couldn’t imagine adventuring without her now. She loves being outside and joining us on the hills, on our paddle boards and ripping on the trails with the bikes. 

I joined the club in April 2022 when we introduced Tala to agility after watching crufts. It’s now our favourite time of the week and can’t wait to see where our agility journey takes us – although I’ll need to work on my sprinting to keep up with her. I was asked to become a committee member in 2023 and was more than happy to accept!
