Membership
Membership runs from 1st November 2025 to 31st December 2026 and covers all club activities. Anyone handling a dog at the club must be a club member. Please note it is the handler and not the dog who is the club member. Club Membership is required to be paid for attending any classes.
- £15 Single membership (one handler)
- £20 Joint membership (two handler’s resident at the same address)
- £25 Family membership (more than two handlers resident at the same address)
- £150 Life membership
Junior Handlers – We welcome junior handlers of all ages in the club, but any handler under
16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 16 and this parent / guardian must
also be a current club member.

Membership fee is non refundable unless for exceptional circumstances.

Whose data do we collect?
LDCS collects data from members on joining the club.
What data do we collect?
LDCS collects name, address, email address, telephone directly from individuals
Why do we collect that data?
To provide membership services – contractual necessity
To comply with Club/Society Constitution – contractual necessity
To comply with KC Rules and Regulations – contractual necessity
Publication of newsletters – legitimate interests
Sharing of club news and events – legitimate interests
Where do we store the data?
This data is stored in manual records and the LDCS membership database. These records are kept securely (under lock and key for manual records) and password protected (electronic records).
When do you retain the data until?
Personal data will be retained in accordance with statutory requirements and Kennel Club requirements and recommendations. All personal data will be securely destroyed within 7 years of lapse of membership.
